The Owner Was Very Friendly

“This park is good for an overnight stop. Very quiet. It’s located off the main road, there aren’t any signs leading you there so it might be hard to find without GPS. There is a sign near the office asking that you not park on the grass. No problem, since there isn’t any. The very friendly owner checked us in gave us a site close to the office to ensure wifi for us. As other reviewers have stated there is some deferred maintenance. We’d stay here again if in the area. We camped at Wind River RV Park in a Motorhome.”

Clean, Hygienic and an Adequate Stopover

“We were very happy to get a pull through full hookup site on short notice when we left Dubois (about 1.25 hours west) due to a fire pre-evacuation notice. Call for full directions when getting close, it’s a little off the main drag. The accommodating owner/manager stayed late for our arrival and gave us a full orientation. There were many welcome shade trees (it was hot!) and very close to our site, but not a problem for our motorhome with no slide-outs. We would not have been able to put out our canopy, though. The gravel/dirt site was level and required no blocks. The electric power was strong and consistent, and the modern electric tower was nicely high enough to allow the surge guard use. The water had good pressure and was clean, and decent in taste. Sewer hookups were easily accessible. Wi-Fi signal seemed strong, but the amount of traffic seemed to overwhelm the system in the evening. Verizon cell service was good. There were two nice grassy areas for dogs, which were clean due to the many reminder signs to pick up after your dog.
The park has made an effort also in this desert area to brighten the landscape with pretty watered flowers at each pull-through site and other areas near the entrance. The bathrooms were very clean, spacious, and well-lit. Showers also very clean $1 for 10 minutes with water-flow reducing shower heads. The laundry was wonderful, 13 regular washing machines, two oversize commercial washing machines, eight big dryers, lots of folding space, modern vending drink machine, all in a spacious, swamp-cooled room. Lots of other nice RVs here and the park seemed safe and quiet. A mosquito spraying truck rolled through in the evening. The RV sites are next to the same owner storage facility. Not a fancy park, but totally more than adequate as a stopover. The owners have obviously made a lot of effort, focusing on important functional and hygienic improvements. Remember this is a desert area when wishing for lush landscaping. We camped at Wind River RV Park in a Motorhome.”

Nice Park and the Price is Right

“Wind River RV Park is right in the town of Riverton, WY. Which makes it easy to do some grocery shopping and anything else one needs. They have a huge laundry room and pay showers if you want. My Verizon wireless broadband modem works great here, and I get local TV channels. I stayed in Riverton to use as a hub to take day trips to another close by towns like Casper, Thermopolis, Dubois, and Shoshoni. The owner is Retired Navy and gives a very generous Military discount. I stayed here for a week.”
